Explore Galle Fort
Galle is a town in the southwestern tip of the island. It boasts of being a historical landmark with its fortified city. The fort's history dates back to the Dutch colonial era, Built by Portuguese and developed by Dutch. The Fort itself is conserved as a UNESCO World Heritage site this is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
Once inside the fort you will be traveled across the time to Colonial era of Sri Lanka. Observe the many sites such as the Old Gate with the British Coat-of-Arms inscribed on it, the Old Dutch Hospital, the ramparts that run around the fortress with its excellent view of the ocean. Other than that you can see clock tower, the lighthouse,Dutch reformed Church and the Dutch colonial style houses built inside the fortress.
